Azerbaijan's Finance Ministry to adopt new requirements to insurance companies' capital

By August the Finance Ministry plans to adopt new requirements to the capital of insurance companies, functioning in Azerbaijan, said Finance Minister Samir Sharifov.
He said new rules to come to force in January of 2009 are necessary as current requirements of AZN 1,000,000 for created insurance company and AZN 800,000 for a working one are too low. 28 insurance companies are functioning in the country.

According to the Finance Ministry, in the beginning of 2008 the capital of insurance companies made AZN 75,400,000.
