President of Azerbaijan takes part in opening of overpass and tunnel in Baku

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today taken part in the opening ceremony of an overpass and a tunnel in Baku, locating in the area of Excelsior hotel circles, reports Day.Az with reference to AzerTac.
The head of state inspected the schemes and projects of the road junction complex.

Transport Minister Ziya Mamedov told President Aliyev that the complex of the road junction is being constructed by Akkord group of companies. The complex includes 4 overpasses and 2 tunnels. At the same time the railway bridge, passing this territory, is being replaced by a new one.

A part of the overpass over the road is 340 meters in length and 11.7 meters in width. The tunnel extends to 220 meters and the width is 11 meters,

The overpass is equipped with the automatic heating system. Greening works have been held in this area, with trees and flowers planted and a section of 15,000 square meters coated. 600 local specialists worked during construction and works were held in three turns.

Ilham Aliyev inspected the overpass and the tunnel and examined the work quality. He also set instructions regarding high level construction of the rest part of the complex.
