The population of Azerbaijan has bought foodstuffs and nonfoods from the trade establishments in the amount of AZN 4,956,600,000 in the first half of 2008, which is up 14.9% as compared to the same period of the last year, reports a source from the state statistical committee, according to Interfax-Azerbaijan.
As is reported through the said period the population purchased foodstuffs in the amount of AZN 3,224,300,000 and nonfoods in the amount of AZN 1,732,300,000, which is up 10.3% and 27.1% respectively as compared to January-June of 2007.
Through the first half of 2008 the population of Azerbaijan was offered services in the amount of AZN 1,423,100,000, which is 29.5% higher as compared to the same period of the last year.
At that, 79.3% of services were provided by legal entities and 20.7% by individuals, which is 36.5% and 8.1% rise as compared to the same period of the last year.
