Vasili Istratov: "The economic subjects of Azerbaijan and Russia will soon initiate talks on interaction in the sphere of gas supplies"

He noted that the economic subjects of the two countries will soon initiate talks regarding possible interaction in the said direction.

As for Medvedev's visit, Istratov noted that the visit was successful and both sides are pleased with its results.

"The very fact of Medvedev's visit to Azerbaijan within the first two months after his inauguration evidences importance, Moscow attaches to advancement of Russian-Azerbaijani relations. The visit revealed closeness of the positions of our countries almost on all issues. Presidents have defined several new trends of our cooperation and ways of resolution of issues, remaining unsettled for a long time", said Istratov.

He noted that both presidents fixed trustful and constructive relations with each others. According to him, it is important as present-day international policy is conducted, also considering the leaders' ability to agree with each other.
