Heydar Babayev: "The session of the work group of Azerbaijan and WTO will be held soon"

The press service for the Azerbaijan Economic Development Minister told Day.Az that the head of the commission, Economic Development Minister Heydar Babayev informed the participants about the fifth session of the work group of Azerbaijan and WTO, held in Geneva in May.

During the event it was decided to prepare the Factual Summary on Azerbaijan's WTO accession. Babayev announced that the next session of the work group to consider Azerbaijan's proposals on tariffs and services, unification of legislation with WTO requirements will be held in the near future.

Deputy chairman of the commission and deputy Foreign Minister Mahmud Mamedquliyev spoke of the bilateral talks held with WTO members in May-June.

The session participants exchanged views on country's WTO accession. In the end they adopted the actions plan on Azerbaijan's WTO accession for period until late 2008.
