Azerbaijan will experience one of the highest GDP growth rates among the former Soviet countries in 2008, according to the forecasts of the Intergovernmental statistical committee of the CIS.

Day.Az reports with reference to the website of the statistical committee that the GDP growth rate in Azerbaijan will make up 16-18%.
The intergovernmental statistical committee of the CIS predicts the GDP to rise by 10-11% in Armenia, 8-8.5% in Belarus, 8% in Georgia and Kazakhstan, 7% in Kyrgyzstan and Russia, 7-7.5% in Tajikistan, 7.5% in Uzbekistan, 6.5-7% in Ukraine and 6.5% in Moldova.
