Heads of the railway administrations of Azerbaijan, Iran and Russia met in Teheran yesterday.
The due announcement was made by Nadir Azmamedov, spokesman for Azerbaijan's State Railway Administration, Day.Az reports.
During the meeting the sides discussed further expansion of trilateral cooperation, project of construction of Kazvin-Resht-Astara railway section in the framework of the North-South international transport corridor and others.
Thus, Russia will have to prepare the draft feasibility study within 6 months and present it to Azerbaijan and Iran.
Upon completion of the meeting, the heads of the railway administrations of Azerbaijan, Iran and Russia, Arif Askerov, Hasan Ziyari and Vladimir Yakunin signed a memorandum on construction of Kazvin-Resht-Astara railway branch.
