Azerbaijan's inflation rate rises by 4.15% in January

The Center of Economic Reforms has calculated the inflation rate for January of 2008, in the framework of the project "Development of alternative methodology for calculating of inflation", financed by the US Agency for International Development (USAID).

According to the press service for the Center, Azerbaijan's January inflation rate made up 4.15%.

The center conducted a poll among 500 housing economies on 100 types of products and package of services. It should be noted that the State Statistical Committee estimates the January inflation rate at 15.3%.

The Center of Economic Reforms has created an inflation family calculator on basis of statistical observation of consumer price index in 22 regions of the country under USAID financial assistance.
