Royal Jordan delegation will hold regular discussions on establishment of direct air flights Amman-Baku in Baku.

Elman Arasly, Azerbaijan's ambassador to Jordan and simultaneously to Iraq, told Novosti-Azerbaijan, that a delegation of Royal Jordan, national air company of Jordan - Azerbaijan and Jordan - has arrived in Baku Friday to discuss technical issues of opening direct air flights communicating two countries.
He said the visit of the Jordan delegation will last until the end of the week. During the visit the guests will meet with the leadership of the national air company Azerbaijan Airlines and other officials.
It should be noted that this is the second visit of the Jordan delegation to Azerbaijan. The sides met first in late January in Baku and discussed details of air flight Amman-Baku.
Establishment of a direct air flight between the capitals of the two countries was discussed during the official visit of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to Jordan, held in July 29-30 of 2007.
The new air flight Amman-Baku will start operating in early April. Initially, the direct air flights will be operated twice a week. In case it is profitable, the sides will discuss raising the number of flights. At the initial stage, the flights will be operated by the air planes of Royal Jordan, while in the future, additional flights will be operated by AZAL.
