Azerbaijan joins meeting of EU and BSEC Foreign Ministers

A delegation from Azerbaijan led by deputy Foreign Minister Makhmud Mamedkuliyev left for Ukraine Wednesday morning.

The visit aims at participation in the meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the member-states of the European Union and Black Sea Economic Cooperation to be held in Kiev on February 13-14.

The due information has been provided by Novosti-Azerbaijan with reference to the press service for Azerbaijan's Embassy to Ukraine. According to the press service a meeting of experts to discuss issues and prepare due documents for introducing into the agenda of the session, has started in the Primer Palace hotel in Kiev today.

The meeting of EU and BSEC Foreign Ministers will also start there Thursday.

The meeting is expected to discuss prospects of mutually profitable multilateral cooperation between the BSEC member-states and the European Union. In particular, the sides will touch upon cooperation on the development and implementation of regional projects, aiming at unification of the transport system, boosting energy security and stability in the region.

A special session of the BSEC Council of Foreign Ministers,  to discuss energy security in the Black Sea basin, will be held in the framework of the session on February 14.

The Azerbaijani delegation will return to Azerbaijan on February 15.
