Construction of first research nuclear reactor in Azerbaijan likely to commence in 2009

He said the decision to present the project of construction of the research nuclear reactor in Azerbaijan was adopted at the IAEA session in Vienna.

The works are likely to commence in 2009 and finish in 2010.

A.Garibov noted that the session of the Cabinet of Ministers, which is likely to be held in January, will define the capacity of the nuclear reactor and site for its construction.
