Import of Russian poultry products to Azerbaijan banned temporarily

Import of poultry products from Russia to Azerbaijan is banned temporarily, as reported by the deputy chief of the State Veterinary Service, Emin Shahbazov.
He said the problem lies with the detection of bird flue virus on a poutry-farm in Rostov.

"Next week, specialists of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources and the Ministry of Health will hold monitoring of bird flue", E.Shahbazov noted.

He said monitoring is held in the nesting and wintering places of wild migration birds.
