Inflation rate to make up 17-18% in Azerbaijan in 2007

The average annual inflation rate in Azerbaijan is forecasted to be 17-18% in 2007.
The indicator currently exceeds 16%, as announced by Elman Rustamov, chief of Directors' Board of the National Bank.

According to him, the inflation rate, "imported" to Azerbaijan in 2007, made up 7%, due to the rise in prices on oil and foodstuffs on the global market.
