Azerbaijan to deliver fuel money to farmers in June

As per a presidential decree on governmental support for farmers, AZN 80 million has been earmarked from the state budget for selling fuel and lubricants (AZN 56 million) and fertilizers (AZN 24) to farmers at 50% discount.

The move comes to compensate for energy and fuel prices hike in January and alleviate the impact of prices rise on farmers.

The country's agriculture minister Ismat Abbasov said an ad hoc commission has been set up to target the assistance to end-users and they can apply to local commissions by June 1.

"The applications will be processed during 10 days. From mid June, the applicant farmers will get the money through Kapital Bank," he concluded. APA-Economics
