State Social Protection Fund wants IBA and Kapital Bank to install additonal ATMs

Transition to electronic delivery of pension benefits has started since 2005 and most of the pensioners are able to get their benefits through ATMs at present, the State Social Protection Fund Chairman Salim Muslumov told a workshop examining automation of pension benefits: current situation and prospects.

He added that 71,412 pensioners live more than 5 kilometers far from the region and settlement centers and 21.5% of them receive benefits through bank cards.

"57.5% of 1.063 million pensioners get benefits by card throughout the country," he noted.

He also said that it is almost impossible to install ATMs in all of the 5,689 villages but they have requested the National Bank of Azerbaijan and Kapital Bank to establish additional ATMs, APA reports.
