Mortgage Fund lends 1,000 loans worth AZN 36 million

Azerbaijan Mortgage Fund (AMF) has to date lent 1,000 mortgage loans worth AZN 36 million through its authorized organizations.

The Fund press service told APA-Economics that the mortgage loans went 70% to young families.

The presidential decree on improvement of mortgage lending mechanism in the country and application of preferential loans accelerated the process.

45 concessional (preferential) loans worth AZN 1.37 million have been lent up to now.

During 2006 the authorized banks of the Azerbaijani Mortgage Fund (AMF) issued 243 mortgages against 350 applications received.
