Cold weather damages fruit trees

Cold weather in western regions of Azerbaijan has damaged fruit trees. The fruit prices for this year are expected to triple. Especially apricot will be expensive.

Samukh Region Agriculture Issues officer Ziyad Abbasov told APA Bureau that weather prevents plants from blossoming and impede fertilization process.

Experts say agriculture-oriented western regions will produce less fruit this year and this will push prices up in the market.
