Azeri enterprises suffer over 200 job-related accidents every year

During the past five years the employers suffered loss of AZN 434,000 in over 200 work accidents per year. 246 accidents killed 81 people last year.

State Labor Inspection department chair Nabi Shukurli said the accidents were caused 48% in industry, 22% in construction and the rest in transport and other sectors. 31 people died in construction and 30 in industry last year. The accidents mostly resulted from negligence of labor safety.

The accidents happened 60% of accidents took place in Baku-based enterprises. APA-Economics
