26 April 2007 [15:09] - TODAY.AZ
The authorities have started to clear the highway going to the Heydar Aliyev International Airport from communications because of the road reconstruction project.

Azerbaijan State Road Service told that Slovakia's Doprastav Company is preparing technical and economic assessment of the project.

The 14.5km road from Azizbayov Subway to Sabunchu Circle will be expanded to 12 tracks and the rest part will be 8 tracks. Five bridges will be constructed on the highway.

The initial cost of the project is AZN 145 million, which will be financed from the state budget. The reconstruction project will be implemented by a presidential behest, APA reports.
