Emergencies Ministry bans buildings higher than 12 storeys

Emergencies Ministry bans constructing buildings higher than 12 storeys in the capital Baku, Orujeli Hajiyev, Deputy Emergencies Minister told journalists.

He said that illegally constructed buildings are being analyzed at present, APA reports.

"We are analyzing a building. The steel reinforcements and concrete samples taken from the building are being analyzed in the lab. The building will be removed if shortcomings are revealed," he said.

Deputy Minister noted that Emergencies Ministry controls the construction. He said necessary documents are to be submitted while constructing a new building.

Emergencies Ministry allows constructing only after analyzing the steel reinforcements and concrete which the building will be constructed of. The commission composed of several state bodies is also give judgment for the construction.
