Economic Development Ministry prepares bill and proposals on establishing special economic zones

Commission on establishing special economic zones in Azerbaijan has been set up in Economic Development Ministry, Deputy Economic Development Minister Mikayil Jabbarov told journalists.

He said that conceptual proposals and bill will be submitted to the government. "Special regime will be applied in economic zones. Different and more liberal regime will be set up for enterprises and entrepreneurs," he said.

Jabbarov said that no demands will be put forward for the companies operating in the zone, APA reports.

Azerbaijani President decreed on establishing special economic zones in Azerbaijan on March 7.
