Baku Standard Center to be established

Azerbaijan State Agency for Standardization, Metrology and Patents intends to establish a Standard Center in Baku.

Chairman of Azerbaijan State Agency for Standardization, Metrology and Patents, Ramiz Hasanov, said construction of the center is due to start in May and to be completed by this year's end.

He also added that Azerbaijan will get 50 reference standards by 2012, APA reports.

"It is necessary to create a time standard to define the exact time. we have to date bought 9 standards. The fee for using standards will be as ten times cheap as it is abroad," he noted.
