The ministry official for information society development, Rufat Gulmammadov, told APA-Economics that the workgroup is working on the proposals.
After processing and grouping the proposals, the ministry will send the package to the Government.
The consulting firm prepared proposals, by exploring the prospects of the establishment of Regional Innovation Zones in Azerbaijan. The proposals cover creation of technoparks to develop small and medium-size enterprise, production and exportation of electronics and software, development of local competitive production, and penetration into the regional markets, establishment of all necessary infrastructure for population's access to the modern ICT services, conversion of the country into a transit information center and development of human resources for the information society. Azerbaijan has chosen the ICT sector as the priority for firm and sustainable development.
