Emergencies Minister receives BP-Azerbaijan president

Minister Heydarov spoke about successful development of oil-gas industry in Azerbaijan and highly appreciated the role of BP in this sphere.

The minister noted that successful implementation of oil-gas projects is of great importance for Azerbaijan and for the region as well. He underlined that protection of population and environment is Emergencies Ministry’s priority. The minister said that the companies operating in Azerbaijan should observe safety rules and considered observing standards in this direction necessary.

Bill Schrader said the company is wiling to strengthen mutual cooperation with the Azerbaijani government, especially with the Emergencies Ministry. He said the company, as operator of Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli, BTC, Shah Deniz and South Caucasus Pipeline projects, achieved great progress together with Azerbaijani government in the framework of close cooperation.
