Azerkimya will be insolvent despite state assistance, Natig Aliyev says

29 March 2007 [08:45] - TODAY.AZ
There is a gap between the revenues and expenditures of Azerkimya, the state-owned chemicals maker, said Azerbaijan's Industry and Energy Minister Natig Aliyev.

He said the company is in plight. "It will be insolvent after some time despite the assistance rendered by the state. Fundamental reforms should be carried out to make the company market-oriented," he noted.

He ruled out artificial decrease of electricity, gas and oil products prices on the domestic market, saying this move can harm the energy producers and suppliers, APA-Economics reports.
