Azerbaijan to complete transition to electronic telephone exchange next year

Azerbaijan intends to complete full transition to electronic telephone switch system by the end of 2008, said Communications and Information Technologies Minister Ali Abbasov, adding that the process is currently 72% complete.

He also added that the cooperation between Azeri and South Korean governments to establish e-government in the country is effective.

Minister expressed his dissatisfaction with the inefficient work of posts in Azerbaijan, adding that a new mobile operator will start operation in a few days, APA-Economics reports.
