Azerbaijan to explore prospective fields

State Oil Company intends to carry out exploration works in some fields.

The SOCAR Vice-President Khoshbext Yusifzade said that the first targets are Babak, Umid, Gardagh, Eshrefli and Dan Ulduzu fields.

He added that Azerbaijan is estimated to have 6bn to 10bn tons of recoverable hydrocarbon reserves, of which 4bn tons is oil, APA reports.
