Elman Zeynalov, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Bulgaria, said "Baku-Tbilisi-Akhalkalaki-Kars railway will contribute to the development of Azerbaijan-Bulgaria relations".

Ambassador Zeynalov said that the new railway will increase trade turnover between the two countries.

Zeynalov noted that international transport corridors 8 and 10 will simplify Azerbaijan's access to the European Union and TRACECA corridor will have a positive influence on trade turnover between the two countries.

Underlining rapid development of trade relations between the Sophia and Baku, Mr. Zeynalov said that Bulgaria exports furniture, medicines, cosmetics to Azerbaijan and Azerbaijan mainly exports oil products.

"Bilateral relations have greater potential. We should make use of opportunities in energy sector, agriculture, infrastructure, production, pharmaceutics and other spheres," he said.

Noting that Bulgaria's membership practice will have a great role for Baku, the Ambassador stated that Bulgaria's membership of the European Union will be favorable for both countries. APA, JTW
