Turkmen gas resources transportation to Europe through Azerbaijan being discussed

The delegation for Consortium established with the participation of Mott McDonald (Great Britain), CNTOR Management Consultant (Greece) and ASPI Consulting Engineers (Azerbaijan) left for Ashgabat to discuss issues on transportation of Turkmen gas to Europe through Azerbaijan territory. The visit will end on March, 15.

The visit will cover discussions of Turkmen gas transportation to Europe through Azerbaijan, APA reported quoting to Regnum agency. Though Turkmenistan and Russia have already agreed on construction of new gas pipeline, the Consortium is decisive of negotiations to be continued. While Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan gas is the cheapest, experts said $84 is spent on the exploitation of 1000 cub meters Russian gas.

European commission has allocated EUR1.7 million on the project of transportation of Turkmen gas to Europe through Azerbaijan and Georgia. According to the contract CNTOR Management Consultants and KLC Law Firm are to work out juridical bases ,ASPI Consulting engineers is to coordinate among the government of three countries.
