The Ministry Officer Natig Gasimov told that the propositions are aimed at simplification of the social assistance machinery.
"Targeted social assistance benefits are not received by the family which services for a loan. We want to soften the requirements. There will be a definite limit for the amount of loans. If a family has a cow and five sheep per family member, it doesn’t receive social assistance benefit and we want to remove this item. If a family has a car used for more than 20 years, it doesn’t get social assistance, and we want to reduce this time or remove this item," he noted.
The ministry is redrafting amendments to the Law on Targeted Social Assistance, APA reports.
If a family cheats and falsifies documents to get social assistance benefits, it is deprived of the right to the assistance for two years while the ministry wants to reduce this period to a year. The draft amendments are also consulted with international experts.
