State Labor Inspection to examine construction companies

State Labor Inspection is going to examine construction companies in order to study working conditions and labor safety there, SLI chief Nebi Shukurlu stated.

The examination together with Economic Development Ministry officers will be carried out on the basis of schedule worked out by the SLI. The chief stated that the building code is ignored and fatal accidents are more frequent in construction companies.

Shukurlu noted that they will further act according to the results of examination, APA reports.

"We will instruct them to prevent negative cases and give them 15 days or a month to fill the gaps. If these instructions are ignored, we will consider the closure of the companies," he said.
Shukurlu stated the examinations will last till April.

In result of accidents in production industry last year, 81 people died and other 192 injured. 31 people died in construction. Accidents are mainly injury (89 cases) and fall dawn (40 cases).
