Price increase in Azeri railways harmful to international transportation, Ministry says

There are proposals to increase transport tariffs in Azerbaijan's railways.

The Tariff Council, Top Price Regulator, has not considered the issue yet. There is keen competition in international transport corridors and price change can affect the amount of transportation, said Azerbaijan's Deputy Minister of Transport Musa Panahov, APA Economics reports.

He said that the prices should be adjusted so that the transit will not be affected.
