Vouchers to be withdrawn in Azerbaijan

He said it is planned to completely withdraw vouchers by the end of 2007.

"For withdrawal, some 70 enterprises will be privatized," he said.

Hasanov said it is in President's competence to prolong vouchers.

Vouchers (checks for privatization, a voucher equals to four checks) are in circulation since March, 1997. 32mln checks (8mln vouchers) were issued in total. The price per voucher is AZN 17 on the black market. The peak price rise was AZN 85 ($100) during ten years, APA reports.
