Azerdemiyolbank's assets grew 79%

Azerbaijan's Azerdemiryolbank has, to January 1, increased its assets to AZN 90.3mln, up 78.8% from the previous year.

Its credit portfolio more than doubled during 2006 to reach 60.2mln of the assets. Loans lent to legal entities and individuals made AZN 37mln and AZN 23.2mln respectively. Loans worth AZN 8.5mln were allowed to entrepreneurs, AZN 2.8mln were lent through credit cards.

Bank's head office told the APA that its liabilities doubled to AZN 72.8mln. Term liabilities reached AZN 61.8mln, including issuance of securities worth AZN 1.7mln.

Bank's deposit portfolio was formed 80% from people's savings, up 80.7% from the previous year.

Azerdemiryolbank made a profit of AZN 3.1mln, up 2.2 times from 2005, after its revenues making up ZN 14.7mln and expenditures reaching AZN 11.6mln.
