Government discusses rise of basic pension and minimum salary

The rise of basic pension and minimum salary was discussed in the conference held on the rise of energy deliveries in the Cabinet.

Chairman of the Parliamentary Commission for Social Policies, Hadi Rajabli told the APA that prevention of inflation, agiotage in the markets, and the measures to be taken for liberalization in the energy production were discussed at the meeting.

He said that the Ministry of Finance was making calculations for increasing the basic pension and minimum salary.

"The rise of prices in the markets will be stabilized until the middle of February. The rise of allowances will be determined, after the level of exact price rise is defined," he said.

The parliamentarian said the basic pension and minimum salary will be possibly raised in early March.

The basic pension and the minimum salary is AZN 40.
