Thames Insurance to increase nominal capital by five times

Thames Insurance Company, operating in Azerbaijan, intends to increase its authorized capital to AZN 3m in 2007.

Company head office in Baku told APA that the insurance fees collected rose by 6.5%, year-over-year, to AZN 074 160 in January-September, 2006.

Insurance payment rose by 55% to AZN 166 235 in this period.

Established in 1996, Thames Insurance provides 12 voluntary and 3 compulsory insurance services. It nominal capital hit 600,000 as of January 1.
