Compensation granted to Azerbaijani Armed Forces officers and ensigns to be trebled

The government is working out a draft concerning the issue. The Ministry of Defense information service stated that they have no information about the issue.

Ministry of Finance Law-Enforcement Bodies Financing Department chief Ilham Zeynalov confirmed the information. He also said that the programme will be implemented next year.

"The fund will be allocated from state budget. The issue is being discussed," he said.

Ilham Zeynalov also noted that some programmes for the improvement of military servants' social defense will be implemented in 2007.

He said that the compensations of military officers and ensigns, their insurance and mortgage privilege will be applied. APA
