4.6m bank accounts in Azerbaijan

The number of bank savings under AZN 2,000 each is 3.65 million, and between 2,000 and 4,000 is 12,000, National Bank Executive Director Rufat Aslanov told APA.

As of November 1, the total amount of bank savings rose 54.1%, year-over-year, to AZN 704.9m in Azerbaijan.

State Statistical Committee told APA that the amount of foreign currency savings rose 29.6% to AZN 528.2m and the national currency savings grew by 3.5 times to AZN 175.7m.

Privately-owned banks hold 61.1% of the savings.
