FIM Bank appeals against French court's decision lifting arrest on stocks of Eutelsat

Malta's Fim Bank appealed against the Franch Court's decision on lifting 500,000 stocks of Azeri Government in he European Telecommunications Satellite Organization (Eutelsat).

Azerbaijani Communications and Information technologies Ministry lawyer Bakhtiyar Mamamdov told APA Fim Bank claimed that the arrest hadn't been lifted before Rotterdam court makes a judgement on the row between Azeri Pochtbank and Fim Bank.

He said the trial on the appeal was held and the Court will make a judgement in the second half of January.

A French Court had seized the stocks on the basis of the false documents submitted to the court by FIM Bank of Malta. Azerbaijan appealed to the court for cancellation of the decision and claimed $150,000.

Then, the French court lifted the arrest on the stocks and fined FIM Bank EUR 5, which was to be paid to the Government of Azerbaijan.

Besides, Fim Bank was to pay EUR 900 for legal expenses suffered by Azerbaijan.

The row between Fim Bank and Pochtbank is underway in Rotterdam Court.
