Two bridges and two pedestrian crossings become operational

President Ilham Aliyev participated in the opening ceremonies of two bridges and two pedestrian crossings in Baku.

President regarded the events as an indicator of economic power of the country. He also noted that AZN200m will be spent on the reconstruction of traffic infrastructure. He stated that the road to Haydar Aliyev International Airport will be reconstructed and meet international standards.
One of the bridges is located at the crossing of Moscow Av (former Tbilisi Av) and G.Salamzade St, and other one at the crossing of Ataturk Av and Z.Bunyadov Av. First bridge spent AZN 15.2m and the second one 10.5 m. And one of the pedestrian crossings is located at the crossing of Bulbul Av with Fizuli St (AZN 53.4m) and the second at the crossing of Nizami St and S.Vurgun St (AZN1 245 000).

9 bridges and 13 pedestrian crossings planed to be constructed during 2006 and 2007. AZN 146.8m is to be located for the project, APA reports.
