Inauguration of two road bridges in Baku rescheduled for weekend

2 out of 9 road bridge projects is expected to be commissioned in Baku on weekend.

One of the bridges joins Tbilisi Avenue with Str. Salmansade, and the other joins Ataturk Avenue and Bunyadov Avenue, the Transportation Ministry told APA.

The bridges spent AZN 15.2m and AZN 10.5m respectively.

Two pedestrian tunnels are expected to be opened. One is in the crossing of Bulbul Avenue and Fuzuli Street, the other joins Nizami Street and Vurgun Street.

The both bridges had been scheduled to be opened last week. The inauguration was cancelled due to incomplete construction works.

9 bridges and 13 pedestrian tunnels are planned to be constructed during 2006-2007.

From the State Budget AZN 146.8m has been earmarked for the construction works.
