Azercell to make investments of $130m next year

Azercell doesn't intend to change its operation strategy after the government's stake in the company is privatized.

Azercell Director General Halim Atesh said that the company has submitted all the documents to the relevant bodies and are anticipating for the results of the privatization, APA reports.

"We want to bring the most advanced technologies to Azerbaijan, we don't see this as earnings, but we think about the benefit these technologies will give to Azerbaijan. Georgia has started to apply 3G technology, and if we are granted a license, we plan to bring this technology next year. We will make investment of $130m next year as we do this year. We intend to increase the number of our customers to 3 million next year," he said.
