Soviet-period bank savings to be refunded

Azerbaijani Government can return the Soviet-period bank saving by bonds, State Committee for Securities proposed the Government.

Committee chairman Gunduz Mammadov says this method can be a suitable key to the problem. "We proposed that the first party in queue be paid in cash and the others be given bonds. It is up to people whoever wants to sell their bonds or whoever ants to gain interests by holding the bonds," he said.

The refund of these savings is estimated at AZN 600m, APA reports.
