Rovnag Abdullayev meets McDermott president

During the meeting SOCAR and McDermott signed a contract on the construction of subsea gas pipelines. The SOCAR President said that this was the first contract of its kind, signed with the foreign company.

Robert A. Deason commented upon the Company's strong intention to expand its co-operation further with SOCAR. With respect to the upgrade of Gurban Abbasov vessel, he noted that the budget of the project has been confirmed and necessary funds have been allocated.

The meeting also focused on the increase of the number of Azerbaijani nationals in the leadership of the company and the attraction of Azerbaijani specialists to work outside of Azerbaijan, APA reports.
