SOCAR and Conoco Phillips to cooperate on Babek and Umid prospect areas

SOCAR's President received the Conoco Phillips delegation headed by its Executive Vice-President, William Berry.

Berry positively appreciated Conoco Phillips's operations in Azerbaijan and said its investments in Azerbaijani projects have totaled $250 million. The American company wants to take part in new oil and gas projects, including the offshore Babek and Umid oilfields' development on the Azerbaijani Caspian shelf.

SOCAR is interested in cooperating with Conoco Phillips, because it needs investments and up-to-date technologies. Turan
