Azerenergy Vice-President Marlen Asgarov told APA that Azerbaijan will reject to sign the agreement unless Russia delegation comes for discussion.
Azerbaijan will stop importing Russian electricity from Dec.1 if the discussion is fruitless.
"We are not satisfied with the terms Russia offers in the agreement. Azerenergy wants the amount and prices of electrical energy imports to remain unchanged -- 300 megawatts per day in peak hours and at 3.6 cent," Asgarov said.
He says Russia intends to sell 60 megawatts of electricity at peak hours to Azerbaijan at 4.1 cents per kilowatt.
Asgarov mentioned that Azerbaijan can substitute Russian supplies for Iran's. According to preliminary agreement with Iran, the latter can provide between 130 and 150 megawatts of energy to Azerbaijan through Parsabad supply line and between 20 And 30 megawatts through Astara line.
