GDP grew by 34.3% y-o-y during Jan-Oct

GDP grew by 34.3% year on year, in the ten months of 2006, to AZN 14.8bn.

Per capita GDP rose 32.8% to AZN 1 766.6 or $1 967.9, State Statistical Committee told APA.

69.4% of the GDP was produced in industry production and 24% in service sector. Net tax on imports and products made up 6.6%.

During this period the added value of AZN 8.4bn (56.9% of GDP) was in industry, AZN 751.5m (5.1%) in agriculture, hunting and foresting, AZN 1.1bn(7.4%) in construction, AZN 980.8 m (6.6%) in transportation, AZN 296.1m (2.1%) in communications, AZN 892.4 m (6%) in wholesale, retail, repair services for cars, household things, AZN 108.7m (0.7%) in hotel and restaurant, AZN 1.3b m (8.6%) in social services.
