Milli Majlis discusses 2007 Budget of Social Protection Fund

SSPF chairman Salim Muslumov said the incomes and expenditures of the budget will be the same in 2007 and payments to people will make up 94.5% of the expenditures.

AZN 172.2m will be earmarked for the increase of basic pension, AZN 8m for new pensions, AZN 9m for indexation of insurance part of the pension benefits. Besides, AZN 100m will be used for retirement benefits to servicemen, increase of the allowances to martyrs' families.

MP Igbal Aghazade suggested discussing the issue of pension benefits for parliamentarians of 1990-1995. MP Zahid Oruj suggested discussing pension problems of Azerbaijanis working in Russia.
