Polish National Exhibition opened in Baku

Polish National Exhibition has today been held in Baku.

The exhibition of over 50 Polish foodstuffs, medicine–making, building and engineering companies was attended by Polish Senate Speaker Bogdan Borusewicz and Milli Majlis Speaker Ogtay Asadov, Azerbaijani Economic Development Minister Heydar Babayev, Polish ambassador to Azerbaijan Krzysztof Krajewski, Azerbaijani ambassador to Poland Vilayat Guliyev, Azerbaijani governmental officials and parliamentarians, APA reports.

Speaker Bogdan Borusewicz spoke of the relations between Azerbaijan and Poland, saying that the existing relations need expanding and developing.

Bogdan Borusewicz also said that the exhibition has brought many Polish companies together in Baku and this factor shows once more that they show great interest in Azerbaijan.
Milli Majlis Speaker Ogtay Asadov said history of relationship between Azerbaijan and Poland dates to 19th century. He said one agreement was signed within the exhibition and 10 agreements are expected to be signed. "We will render any legislative assistance to the expansion of economic cooperation between the two countries. We are looking forward to seeing such an Azerbaijani national Exhibition in Poland," he underscored.
