Azerbaijani natural gas price to increase

Currently Azerbaijani natural gas is cheaper than Russian natural gas. Though Melikov says that Russia is planning to increase the cost of natural gas and so Azerbaijan will probably do the same.

According to Melikov, data shows that the number of consumers paying for their gas has increased significantly. In January 2006, only 16 percent of customers paid for their gas and in September, indicators showed that 72 percent were paying.
